The client was looking to refurbish their existing 1 bedroom flat by utilising the unused attic space, thus creating a desirable AirBnB rental apartment. Due to limited notable space, the design concept needed to locate and unlock all opportunities through which to create a high-functioning small home.

Through the demolition of the existing partitions we created a modern, open plan space. Half of the attic was opened up, creating a double height section of the living room which visually enlarged the perception of the space. This also helped to maximise the reach of natural light.

On the mezzanine floor a Velux Cabrio balcony window was installed to create an informal amenity space and much needed outdoor element. A natural colour palette and simple yet stylish, industrial interior specification further increased the visual perception of space.
